SaaS Platform Transformation
THE CHALLENGE
Complete development of a stalled and over budget SaaS platform.
A company-first SaaS project was in jeopardy. Set to launch in 7 months, development was stalled at 20%, the project 30% overbudget. Project managed by a contractor working out of a garage office with developers scattered in remote overseas locations, the goal was to secure the source code, source a new third-party development firm, and hire an in-house team to maintain the platform post launch.
Within 2 weeks, the source code was obtained, requirements re-written, a new development firm hired; a successful launch occurred, within budget and the 7-month launch target.
An in-house team involving a senior systems engineer, 2 developers, and a project manager were hired to maintain the SaaS platform post launch. Within 1 year a $15M sales pipeline evolved.
THE OBJECTIVE
Complete build and on-time launch of company first SaaS platform, secure source code, re-write requirements, source new third-party development firm, hire in-house team to maintain platform post launch.
